Robotics

The toughest problem in robotics is teaching a robot to detect and interpret its surrounding environment.  This requires active and passive sensors such as cameras, infrared cameras, ultrasound, and radar.  The robot pictured below (rWilliam) is a mobile platform that allows us to design and develop robotic sensors and interpretation algorithms.  rWilliam is outfitted with a custom ultrasonic pulse-echo scanning system that can automatically scan objects and identify them.
